Roots & branches & all~

something of great worth

“Something of great worth in my pocket wants to be in yours.”   –Hafiz

snow on conifersWords that sparkle like snowflakes falling through moonlight; flakes large & lazy swirling down as if dancing

Landing in a star burst pattern on my coat.  Letting me know the message those magical flakes bring,

Strung together to give shape to the land beneath.  An outline that softens, brightens, cleans up the trash,

Evokes something grander than the dirt in the yard.  My story forms into a loosely rolling landscape,

Into the distance of the horizon, lost in the snowy night.  My words take root & grow under the protection

Of the snow.swordfern in snow
